Beautiful Grandkids!!!

I have the most beautiful grandkids!!! Each time the kids get their pictures taken I marvel at how blessed I am and what wonderful grandkids I have!!! This one is Olivia and she just turned three. Addie just had her 6 month pictures done and they are beautiful also. The girl that took them has some of her on her blog and she is the first three or four pictures. Tending the Grandkids!!!!

I have been such a slacker on blogging!!!! I will try and catch up a little. The biggest event in January was that I was able to tend Lyns & Barts kids for 8 days, while they went to Hawaii for their 10th anniversary. It was a lot of work but a lot of fun. I gained a new appreciation for Lyns and what she goes through everyday. Their house is always in order and the kids look beautiful as does Lyns. I found myself hanging by my fingernails and barely having a minute to think about what needed to be done next!!!! Paige looked at me about the 5th or 6th day and said "Grandma why do always have your hair like that? (which was up in a clip) I just smiled and said that it was the only way that I had time to do it...... how does Lyndsey get anything done???? Again I can't say enough how much I enjoyed it and how many good memories we shared, Dawson even liked me better than his Mom when she first got home. It kind of made Lyndsey feel bad, but I reminded her that by the next time he saw me he would want his Mom more than me again, and really he is a much more friendly little man since he spent a little time away from his Mom and Dad!!! I have to add that I wouldn't have survived this whole experience if I hadn't had help from Corrie and Mark. It took at least TWO of us to do what Lyndsey does pretty well by herself each day!!!

Paige's birthday is Dec. 22, so we try not to let it get lost in the hustle of the holidays. This year she got two parties so hopefully that made up for it!!!!

Much To Be Thankful For

I'm a little slow posting..... couldn't be the rush of the holidays!! I can't believe that Christmas is so close!! I am trying to get some decorating done, but you know how it goes :) The best intentions always get side tracked. Hopefully I will get it finished this weekend. Our Thanksgiving was great, we had everyone here but Marcie, Bryce and family. We missed them but then we tried to have family pictures taken on Saturday and so they were down for them. I will post some as soon as I get them.....which will be soon I hope!!! It was of course a bit cold which makes it hard for the little ones. But I think we got some good ones. Can't wait to share. In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I do want to say how thankful I am for all that I have been blessed with, husband, family, friends, freedoms, faith, health and happiness.

You can't go to California without going to the beach. We went to Huntington pier and it was beautiful. But after lunch we came back out and this is what it looked like. All the fires in So.Calif. were causing their share of smoke, as if the smog isn't enough.
